In Matthew 28:18-20, Jesus Christ gave the church its marching orders. Yongsan Baptist Church takes this responsibly seriously. It has been rightly said that missions is the heartbeat of the church!

“And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen” (Matthew 28:18-20)
“예수님께서 그들에게 오셔서 말씀하여 이르시되, 하늘과 땅에 있는 모든 권능이 내게 주어졌느니라. 그러므로 너희는 가서 모든 민족들을 가르치고 아버지와 아들과 성령의 이름으로 그들에게 침례를 주며 무엇이든지 내가 너희에게 명령한 모든 것을 그들에게 가르쳐 지키게 하라. 보라, 내가 세상의 끝까지 항상 너희와 함께 있느니라, 하시니라. 아멘.” (마태복음 28:18-20)
God is on a mission to bring His redemption to the whole world. Every believer has a mission within God’s mission. It isn’t just for “missionaries” or for pastors or church staff. It isn’t for the super-spiritual. Every believer has a mission in God’s mission.
하나님께서는 온 세상에 그분의 구원을 가져오시는 일을 하고 계십니다. 모든 성도는 이 하나님의 일 안에서의 임무가 있습니다. 이는 단지 “선교사님들”, 혹은 목사님들, 혹은 교회 직원들만을 위한 일이 아닙니다. 이는 매우 영적인 사람들만을 위한 일도 아닙니다. 모든 성도는 이 하나님의 일 안에서의 임무가 있습니다.
We were rescued to become rescuers. We were saved to be SENT. There is no qualifier for the Great Commission. All believers are to go, tell, baptize, disciple We were never meant to relinquish ownership of the very mission by which we exist.

Acts 1:8 gives us the four locations of missions. “But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.” These locations are: Jerusalem (our local area), Judaea (our province), Samaria (our nation), and unto the uttermost (our world).

Yongsan Baptist Church fulfills the local and province part of missions through our outreach ministries such as our tract distribution, Bible studies, and prison ministry.

The other two areas: our nation and our world are fulfilled through our missions ministry. Yongsan Baptist Church is privileged to have a part in 20 different ministries around the world.
